Heidi Frostestad

Heidi Frostestad currently serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Director of the David C. Shapiro Law Library at Northern Illinois University, a position held since May 2022. Prior to this role, Heidi Frostestad was the Circuit Librarian at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit from February 2021 to April 2022 and served as Law Library Director and Associate Professor of Law at Northern Illinois University College of Law from August 2014 to February 2021. Earlier experience includes various positions at Northwestern University School of Law, where responsibilities ranged from Associate Director for Research to Reference Coordinator, and as Reference and Instructional Services Librarian at Marquette University Law School. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Library Science from the University of Iowa, a Juris Doctor with a focus on International Trade and Development from Valparaiso University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Music from Luther College.
