Dan Hull currently serves as a Senior Research Officer at the Northern Ireland Assembly since June 2010, previously holding the position of Research Officer focused on Culture and Heritage. Prior experience includes the role of Head of Information & Communications at the Council for British Archaeology from June 2006 to May 2010, and a temporary lecturer and researcher at the University of York's Department of Archaeology and Centre for Medieval Studies from September 2002 to May 2006, where Dan Hull also completed a PhD on monastic landscapes in Syria. Additional roles include freelance archaeologist from September 2000 to August 2002, Master’s degree studies in Islamic art and archaeology at the School of Oriental and African Studies from September 1999 to September 2000, and field archaeologist positions with FIELD ARCHAEOLOGY SPECIALISTS LIMITED and YORK ARCHAEOLOGICAL TRUST FOR EXCAVATION AND RESEARCH LIMITED in 1998. Dan Hull holds a BA (hons) in Archaeology from the University of York, completed in 1997.
