Debbie De Vay has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Debbie currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Northern Nevada HOPES since 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Accounting at the same company from 2018 to 2019. Before joining Northern Nevada HOPES, Debbie worked as the Chief Financial Officer at the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse from 2017 to 2018. Debbie also served as the Chief Financial Officer at the Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation from 2014 to 2017. Earlier in their career, Debbie worked as a Controller/Independent Contractor at the Curesearch-National Childhood Cancer Foundation from 2008 to 2013. Debbie also had experience as an Accounting Consultant at SC Field Technical Services from 2003 to 2012, and as an Accounting Manager at Bandai America in 2007. Additionally, they worked as an Assistant Controller at Walldesign, Inc. from 2005 to 2007, and as the Director of Business & Finance at Crittenton Services from 2000 to 2005. Debbie holds an MBA, DBA, and CPA qualifications.

Debbie De Vay holds a Doctorate with a concentration in Business-Accounting from Argosy University Los Angeles, which they completed from 2002 to 2006. Debbie also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from the University of California, Davis. Additionally, Debbie has obtained certifications including being Dare to Lead Trained and being a Certified Public Accountant accredited by the California State Board of Accountancy.
