Andrew Soltani, MS, MHC-LP, currently serves as a Behavioral Health Counselor for the Probation Initiative at Northern Rivers Family of Services since January 2023. Previously, Andrew held positions as a Mental Health Counselor Intern at Albany Medical Center, Case Manager at Addictions Care Center of Albany, and Residential Counselor at New Choices Recovery Center, where responsibilities included developing treatment plans, coordinating referrals, documenting patient progress, and participating in case conferences. Andrew has cultivated advanced counseling skills, particularly in Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral therapies, and has acquired proficiency in Motivational Interviewing. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University at Albany, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Certificate in Chemical Dependency Counseling. Prior to a career in mental health, Andrew gained extensive experience in sales management and marketing.
