Craig Newton

Craig Newton is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in various roles within the mining industry. Currently serving as Planning Superintendent at Northern Star Resources Limited since April 2014, Craig has held positions including Underground Manager and Senior Planning Engineer, focusing on mine design, reserves processes, and mining plan development using Studio 5. Prior to this, Craig worked at Barrick Gold Corporation from 2007 to 2014, where roles included Ventilation Officer, Scheduling Engineer, and Graduate/Drill and Blast Engineer, gaining valuable expertise in ventilation surveys, scheduling, and blast design. Craig holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Physics, both from Curtin University.
