Veda Persad

Veda Persad is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in risk management and client services, currently serving as Country Executive India at Northern Trust Corporation since December 2004. Veda has held multiple leadership roles within the company, including Chief Risk Officer for Canada, where responsibilities involved overseeing operational, strategic, fiduciary, and compliance risk. Prior to this, Veda served as Vice President of Client Service & Relationship Management, focusing on client satisfaction and team development. Previously, Veda worked at IA Clarington as Vice President of Client Services, managing transfer agency operations and service level agreements, and also held a key role in risk committees. Veda's career began at IFDS as a Project Manager, specializing in process improvement and efficiency, and started as a Fund Accountant at State Street. Veda holds a Black Belt in Lean and DMAIC from the Six Sigma Juran Institute and a BA in Economics, Mathematics & Statistics from the University of Toronto Scarborough.
