Karen Horowitz has a diverse work experience in the non-profit sector. Karen started their career at Alternative House in 2002, where they served as the Director of Development & Volunteers until 2008. Following that, Karen joined MADD Northern Virginia as a Development Officer for a year and a half. In 2009, they joined Northern Virginia Family Service and held various roles including Community Engagement Specialist, Director of Community Partnerships / Director of Development, and currently serves as the Director of Volunteer & Internship Engagement.
Karen Horowitz earned their B.A. degree from George Mason University from the years 1998 to 2002. Their degree was in English and Art History.
