Martha Neubert

Martha Neubert, Dean of Equity and Social Justice, has been teaching history in independent schools for 18 years. She joined the NMH faculty in 2005 from the Waynflete School in Portland, Maine. In 2016, she became director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs, which promotes a compassionate, inclusive campus culture through initiatives that align with the school's mission to empower students to “act with humanity and purpose.” Besides teaching, Martha has served as a dorm parent, advisor, coach, and affinity-group advisor, and contributes to all school initiatives related to diversity and social justice. Martha holds a bachelor’s degree from Bates College and an M.A.T. from Smith College.
