Lucy C. Ryan is corporate vice president of communications for Northrop Grumman Corporation, a leader in global security.
Ryan is responsible for the company's worldwide communications strategy and execution including media relations, employee communications, advertising, digital communications, executive communications and branding/corporate image.
Previously, Ryan was the vice president of enterprise communications for Northrop Grumman. She was responsible for the development of the enterprise communications strategy and executive, employee, benefits and human resources communications.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman in September 2018, Ryan was the head of communications for General Dynamics Corporation, a role she held since 2014. She was responsible for all facets of the company’s communications efforts, including branding, communications strategy and execution, leadership communications, and media and public relations. Previously she held numerous communications leadership roles at General Dynamics since joining the company in 2004.
Before General Dynamics, Ryan worked for marketing communications and public relations agencies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada) and a master’s degree in international commerce and policy from George Mason University.
