Paul Girdler

Paul Girdler has a strong background in engineering and manufacturing, with a focus on the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Paul currently serves as a Lead Manufacturing Engineer at NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes, LLC, where they lead a team working on Mo-99 radioisotope programs and oversees the implementation of manufacturing processes. Prior to this role, they were a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at the same company, where they led a project group responsible for defining and implementing an end-to-end manufacturing process for a bulk Mo-99 radioisotope production facility.

Before joining NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes, Paul worked at Progenics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Site Engineer and Environmental Health and Safety Officer. In this role, they supported the safety, quality, and production goals of radiopharmaceutical manufacturing and led a digital transformation project to improve efficiency and compliance.

Paul's earlier experience includes work as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo, where they supported research efforts. Paul also worked at ANSTO in various roles, including Process/Project Engineer, Irradiations Engineer, and Reactor Operator Engineer. In these positions, they provided engineering support, managed projects, and ensured compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Additionally, Paul has experience as a Project Engineer at Monitor Optics Systems, where they contributed to the successful implementation of a condition monitoring system for a major infrastructure project. Paul also worked as a Year-In-Industry Student Engineer at ANSTO, where they assisted in prototype validation and conducted research on flow-induced vibration in fuel assemblies for a reactor.

Paul Girdler completed their education in a chronological order. Paul started by attending St Joseph's College Hunters Hill from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained a Higher School Certificate.

Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE(hons)) in Mechanical Engineering at UNSW from 2003 to 2009.

In 2018, Paul enrolled at the University at Buffalo and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science in 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Paul Girdler has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skill set. In 2013, they completed the Certificate IV Frontline Management (Module 1) from TAFE NSW. In 2014, they completed the Six Sigma Greenbelt Course from Simplilearn. In 2015, they completed the Reliability Centred Maintenance Introduction (RCM2) Course from PwC. Most recently, in 2021, they completed the Radiation Training for Authorized Users and Supervisors from NV5 | Dade Moeller.
