Nigel Watson

Nigel Watson has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Nigel currently holds the position of CIO at NWG (Northumbrian Water Group) since October 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Programme Director at NWG from March 2015 to September 2016. Nigel has also served as a Non-Executive Director at Your Homes Newcastle since August 2021. Nigel has been an Innovation Council Member at CBI (Confederation of British Industry) since October 2017.

During their career, Nigel has held significant roles in various organizations. Nigel worked at Vodafone Turkey as a Transformation Programme Lead from November 2009 to February 2015, and as a Senior Programme Manager from October 2007 to November 2009. Before that, they held the position of Director Business Transformation at Travelport from September 2003 to September 2007.

Nigel has also worked as a Principle Consultant at TAH Systems from 2001 to 2003, and as Manager Sales Processes EMEA (interim) at Microsoft from 2000 to 2001. Nigel gained valuable experience in IT and E-Commerce with various roles at GE Capital from 1993 to 2000. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Computations from 1988 to 1992, and as an IT Consultant at Towers Watson from 1987 to 1988.

Nigel Watson attended Bournemouth University from 1991 to 1993, where they obtained an MBA degree in Management Information Systems. Prior to that, they attended Northgate Grammar School, although no specific dates or degrees were mentioned for this educational experience.
