Sofia Schmitz

Sofia Schmitz is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in human resources and operations management, currently serving as People Operations Manager at Northvolt since June 2020. Prior roles at Northvolt include Team Lead for People Operations, Human Resources Coordinator, and Talent Acquisition Coordinator, where Sofia contributed to building Europe’s first large-scale lithium-ion battery factory. Prior to Northvolt, Sofia worked as a Transcriptionist at Folkuniversitetet, supporting students with hearing impairments, and held leadership positions at the University of Glasgow Adam Smith Economics Society and Glasgow University Women's Basketball Club. Additional experiences include roles as a Business Intern at Rinova Ltd, Executive Board Member for the Scottish Economics Conference, and various positions in customer service and administration, providing a well-rounded skill set and commitment to impactful missions. Sofia holds a degree from the University of Glasgow and a High School Diploma in Social Science and International Studies.
