Dominick Gadaleta

Dominick Gadaleta is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in surgical leadership and education. Currently serving as Vice Chair and Program Director for the Minimally Invasive, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at Northwell Health since April 2011, Gadaleta also holds the position of Chief of the Division of General Surgery at North Shore University Hospital. Responsibilities include overseeing diverse surgical sections, focusing on quality and programmatic development. Gadaleta has served as Associate Chairman of the Department of Surgery for MBSAQIP ACS/ASMBS and is a trustee of the Morgagni Medical Society. Additionally, Gadaleta has held significant roles in the NYS-ASMBS, including Past President, and was Chair of the Department of Surgery at South Shore University Hospital until February 2023. Educational background includes an MD from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and a BA from Rutgers University.
