John Hagan

Coast Region Habitat Biologist at Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission

John Hagan is an experienced habitat biologist with a strong background in fisheries and aquatic science. Currently serving as the Coast Region Habitat Biologist at Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission, John coordinates freshwater monitoring projects on the western Olympic Peninsula and leads the Coastal Watershed Assessment Project. Previous roles include Habitat Conservation Technician at Tyonek Tribal Conservation District, where John managed fisheries projects, and Research Associate at Fisheries, Aquatic Science and Technology Laboratory, focusing on fisheries research and temperature monitoring. Additional experience includes positions at POINT NO POINT TREATY COUNCIL, Yakama Nation Fisheries, and various conservation and monitoring roles, demonstrating a commitment to ecological restoration and fisheries management. John holds a Master of Science in Fisheries and Aquatic Science from Alaska Pacific University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science/Geography from the University of Oregon.
