Saori Nakagawa

Saori Nakagawa has work experience as a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner at Northwest Medical Center starting in December 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Banner Health as a Trauma nurse practitioner from November 2014 to December 2020. At Banner Health, they were responsible for responding to traumas, providing inpatient consults and rounding, and following up with post-op patients in the outpatient clinic. Saori also worked in collaboration with consultants, fellows/residents, and other staff to provide high-quality inpatient care, managed hospital admissions and discharges, obtained patient history, and performed comprehensive physical examinations. Additionally, they ordered, conducted, and interpreted diagnostic tests/procedures and assisted in the pre-operative and post-operative management of adult general surgery, trauma, clinic, and acute wound patients.

Saori Nakagawa began their education journey in 2005, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. This foundational education lasted from 2005 to 2009. Later, from 2011 to 2014, Saori pursued higher education at the University of Illinois Chicago, where they earned a Master's degree in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
