Robert Hubbard

Robert Hubbard is an accomplished academic and theatre professional with extensive experience in higher education. Currently serving as Chair and Professor of Theatre at Northwestern College since 2003, Robert leads departmental operations, including overseeing season selection, managing the budget, and evaluating faculty. In addition to this role, Robert has undertaken significant responsibilities as Director of First-Year Seminar and Director of the Northwestern Core, where leadership included management of the general education program and implementation of comprehensive assessment plans. Previously, Robert held the position of Associate Professor and Director of Theatre at Calvin College, where responsibilities included managing the theatre program and guiding curriculum revisions. Robert holds a PhD in Theatre from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor's degree in English and Communication Arts from Minot State University.
