Director Of Energy Supply at NorthWestern Energy

Kevin Markovich has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Starting in 1983, they worked as an Accountant at Marathon Oil Corporation until 1986. From 1987 to 2001, they held various energy supply roles at NorthWestern Energy (MPC), where they marketed electricity, natural gas, and energy services to customers in multiple states. During this time, they played a significant role in contract negotiations and the integration of assets into existing operations. In 2001, they became the Director of Energy Supply at NorthWestern Energy, where they designed and implemented electric default supply service in Montana. Kevin also managed trading and credit alliances for energy supply service and established electric supply rates under the scrutiny of the Montana Public Service Commission. In 2005, they became the Director of Risk Management at NorthWestern Energy, where they implemented the risk management function and helped eliminate material control weaknesses. Finally, in 2006, they took on the role of Director of Energy Supply at NorthWestern Energy, responsible for the natural gas and electricity market operations in three states. Kevin managed procurement, trading, and scheduling activities, ensuring adequate and reasonably priced supply at all times, and maximizing the value of energy supply assets and resources.

Kevin Markovich received their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Montana State University-Bozeman in 1983. Kevin later completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wyoming in 1987.
