Christopher Schuh

Christopher Schuh currently serves as the Dean of the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science at Northwestern University since August 2023. With extensive experience as a founder of Xtalic Corporation and Desktop Metal, as well as co-founding Foundation Alloy, Christopher has made significant contributions to the engineering field. Prior to these roles, Christopher held the position of Danae and Vasilis Salapatas Professor of Metallurgy and Department Head at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from June 2002 to August 2023. Academic credentials include a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
