Gianluca Cusatis

Gianluca Cusatis is a distinguished academic and industry leader in structural engineering and infrastructure materials. As the Founder and President of Cusatis Computational Services Inc. since February 2020, Gianluca brings extensive expertise to the field. Alongside this role, Gianluca serves as a Professor at Northwestern University since July 2011. Additionally, experience includes serving as an Expert for the National Science Foundation from September 2021 to February 2025, providing crucial assistance in the review and awarding of research projects, as well as serving as a Program Director overseeing numerous NSF/ECI projects. Prior to these roles, Gianluca was part of the faculty at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from August 2005 to July 2011. Gianluca holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Structural Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, completed in March 2022.
