Ilya Mikhelson

Ilya Mikhelson is an experienced academic and entrepreneur in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Instruction at Northwestern University since June 2013. Mikhelson has worked extensively in the Center for Engineering and Health, focusing on electrical engineering applications to improve patient care and lecturing in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In addition to academic work, Mikhelson has operated as an independent consultant specializing in hardware system design and signal processing since 2015. Mikhelson co-founded Pareto Frontier Capital, a quantitative asset manager utilizing artificial intelligence for cryptocurrency trading, and also co-led Avansa and Medical Adherence Technologies in similar roles. Educational qualifications include a PhD, M.S., and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University, with a research background that includes remote health monitoring and advanced system design.
