Melissa Walston-Sanchez

Melissa Walston-Sanchez, MHIM, RHIA, serves as an Associate Professor of Instruction and BSHIM Clinical Coordinator at Texas State University since August 2012, and has progressed through roles including Senior Lecturer and Lecturer. Prior professional experience includes a position as a Coder at Lakeside Hospital from November 2010 to November 2011 and Him Supervisor at Christus Santa Rosa New Braunfels from January 2009 to November 2010. Melissa holds a Master’s Degree in Health Information/Medical Records Administration from Texas State University, earned between 2015 and 2017, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management from the same institution.
