Marisa Siegel

Marisa Siegel serves as the Anthology Committee Co-Chair at Girls Write Now, focusing on the annual anthology publication and mentoring high school students in creative and academic writing. As Editor-at-Large and Owner of The Rumpus, Siegel champions marginalized voices and oversees various editorial functions, events, and social media strategies. In addition, Siegel holds the position of Senior Acquisitions Editor (Trade) at Northwestern University Press, managing multiple imprints and acquiring diverse book projects. Previous experience includes roles in social media management, office administration, and writing for various platforms, alongside academic roles supporting writing and composition students. Siegel possesses an MFA in Creative Writing from Mills College and a BA in English from Sarah Lawrence College.
