Samuel Walters has diverse experience in environmental stewardship and customer service. Currently employed as a Trail Builder at NorthWoods Stewardship Center since June 2021, Samuel previously worked as a Personal Shopper for Instacart, where responsibilities included fulfilling customer orders and maintaining communication regarding order status. In November 2020, Samuel served as an Election Social Distancing Inspector for Dutchess County Government, ensuring the safety protocols during the pandemic. Prior experience includes a leadership role with Texas Conservation Corps at American Youthworks, where Samuel focused on trail-building and team safety, and positions with the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference and PEOPLe, Inc., where operational and data management skills were developed. Additionally, Samuel gained technical experience as a Diamond Turning Technician at ISP Optics Corporation. Academic credentials include attending Austin Community College from 2020 to 2021.

The NorthWoods Stewardship Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been providing quality scientific, educational and conservation service programs in northern Vermont and New Hampshire since 1989. The mission of NorthWoods – connecting people and place through science, education, and action – is achieved through the integration of three program areas: education, forest stewardship, and conservation corps. Through the synergy of these programs, NorthWoods creates responsible and informed citizens capable of sustaining vibrant communities and a healthier natural environment.
