John Townend P. Geo

John Townend P. Geo is a seasoned geology professional with extensive experience in the mining and exploration sectors. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Technical Services and Exploration at NorthX Nickel Corp. since May 2023, John previously held the position of Chief Geologist at Hudbay Minerals Inc. from June 2018 to July 2022. Prior to that, John spent over three decades at Vale, culminating the role of Manager of Mines Geology at Ontario Operations from May 1986 to June 2018. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne.
