Joseph Essen

Joseph Essen has extensive experience in law enforcement and security, currently serving as a Security Officer for Norwegian Cruise Line since February 2013. Prior to this role, Joseph held the position of Director of Training at the Missouri Police Chiefs Association from May 2011 to February 2013. Joseph's career in public safety began at the Jefferson City Police Department as a Reserve Police Officer from May 1987 to July 1990, followed by a tenure as a Lieutenant at the Cole County MO Sheriff's Department from July 1990 to May 2011. Joseph also pursued education at the University of Missouri-Columbia during the 1979-1980 academic year.
