Sara Arango Morales

Sara Arango Morales currently serves as the Regional Risk and Compliance Adviser for the Norwegian Refugee Council, overseeing risk assessments and regulatory compliance across Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Previously, Sara held the role of Risk and Compliance Manager for Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama, where responsibilities included updating risk registers, providing strategic guidance to in-country leaders, and managing whistleblowing frameworks. Prior experience includes serving as Legal Counsel for Africa, Asia, and Europe at CIAT, where Sara focused on contract negotiation and compliance in research projects, and as a Paralegal with Mil Mujeres Legal Services, assisting refugees with migration processes. Educational qualifications include a Specialization in Culture of Peace and International Humanitarian Law from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali and a Law degree from Universidad Santiago de Cali.
