Mike Gerend

Mike joined NEP in 2017 bringing more than 25 years of active lifestyle and consumer executive leadership experience. As an operating partner, Mike helps source and evaluate investment opportunities and plays an active role in strategic planning, business growth, and corporate governance for NEP portfolio companies.

His experience includes working with management teams at multiple health and fitness-related operating companies and helping them to build and refine strategic direction to increase performance, scale and value. Mike previously served as CEO of Edge Fitness, where he worked with the founder team to guide the company’s transformation. Prior to Edge Fitness, Mike worked at Life Time Fitness as President and COO and was responsible for driving growth and profitability across the company’s breadth of operational divisions. Mike also held a variety of executive leadership roles at Schwan’s Home Service, Champion Air and Northwest Airlines.
