Anupiya Nugaliyadde currently serves as the Head of Artificial Intelligence at Norwood Systems Ltd, focusing on leading the design and development of AI-based conversational agent applications. As an Honorary Research Fellow at Murdoch University, Anupiya conducts pioneering research in AI and supervises postgraduate students. Previous roles include Senior Data Scientist at idoba, where Anupiya developed data science solutions for revenue enhancement, and several positions at Murdoch University, including Senior Data Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Fellow, contributing to health-related deep learning applications. Anupiya's expertise spans machine learning, natural language understanding, and deep learning, reinforced by a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Murdoch University and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from SLIIT.
