Matthias Klaften

Matthias Klaften has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Matthias currently serves as the Head of Real World Evidence at Noscendo GmbH, where they oversee the DISQVER platform for digital pathogen diagnostics. Prior to this, Matthias held positions at Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Munich GmbH, where they served as the Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director. In these roles, they managed a network of GMP product testing labs and ensured regulatory compliance. Before joining Eurofins, Matthias co-founded amcure GmbH, a biotech startup focused on developing an antiangiogenic and antimetastatic drug candidate. Matthias was responsible for the business, financial, R&D, and IP strategies, as well as raising funds for the company. Matthias also gained experience at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) / University of Karlsruhe (TH) as a Business Development Manager, where they identified new opportunities for innovative technologies and supported researchers in securing funding. Furthermore, they worked at HelmholtzZentrum München as a Project Leader, leading a team in the development of novel medical imaging technologies, and as a PhD student, where they established a high-throughput genome-wide mapping platform for mouse mutants. Matthias began their career as a Research Intern at Bayer Crop Science.

Matthias Klaften obtained a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Growth in Business-to-Business markets (WBM-HSG) from the University of St.Gallen in 2013-2014. Prior to that, they completed their Diploma in Technical Biology at the Technical University of Munich from 2000-2003. Matthias also attended the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 1997-2000, although their degree and field of study during that period are not specified.
