Yukiko Akutsu is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in establishing and managing legal functions across the APAC region. Currently serving as Commercial Counsel at Notion since September 2025, Yukiko leads the commercial legal efforts in the region. Prior to this role, Yukiko worked at Box from August 2018 to September 2025 as Director of Japan Legal and Sr. Legal Manager, where responsibilities included developing legal operations in Japan and collaborating with various teams on legal matters. Earlier, from 2008 to August 2018, Yukiko was a Senior Counsel at NetApp, overseeing legal affairs in Japan and Korea and ensuring compliance. Yukiko began her legal career as a Legal Manager at Cognos, which later merged into IBM, and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in International Law and Legal Studies from The University of Tokyo.
