Rev. Andrew Cribben, O. Praem., is a member of St. Norbert Abbey in De Pere.
Fr. Andy grew up around the dairy farms of Dodge County and is the third eldest of 11 children. He graduated from Dodgeland High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UW-Whitewater.
Fr. Andy joined the Norbertines of St. Norbert Abbey as a novice in 1987. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1994 by Bishop Robert Banks at St. Norbert Abbey. He has held assignments in Mississippi, New Mexico, Illinois, Mexico and Peru. Upon his return from Peru in early 2007, he became Vocation Coordinator of St. Norbert Abbey until 2009. Since then he has been offering spiritual direction, directed retreats, and days of reflection through the Norbertine Center for Spirituality as well as offering sacramental ministry at the Abbey and at various parishes throughout the Diocese of Green Bay.
Today he collaborates with others at the Abbey in composting kitchen waste and using the finished product on a substantial vegetable garden. Additionally, he is an avid specta tor of all sports and enjoys golfing, playing catch with a football or baseball, and shooting hoops once and awhile. He has added tennis to his repertoire in recent years.
