Crystal Johnson

Instructor & Director, Community Relations at Notre Dame College

Crystal Johnson is an instructor and director of community relations at Notre Dame College. Crystal has also worked as a language arts teacher, reading program coordinator, substitute teacher, and computer graphics center consultant.

Johnson began their career as a computer graphics center consultant at the University of Cincinnati in 2008. Crystal then became a language arts teacher and reading program coordinator at Hanal High School in 2014. In 2016, they started working as a substitute teacher at Leaves of Learning.

Johnson has been with Notre Dame College since 2012. In their current role, they are responsible for designing and implementing lessons in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade Language Arts, Journalism, and Creative Writing. Crystal also coordinates and monitors the all-school, sustained silent reading program. In addition, they provide assistance in maintenance of the school's electronic media outlets and communicates effectively about grades and class progress with students and parents via the Engrade online system.

Crystal Johnson received their Doctor of Education from the University of Dayton in Leadership for Organizations. Crystal also holds a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration from The University of Akron, a Master of Arts from the University of Cincinnati in Educational Studies and Jewish Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Cincinnati in Language Arts.

Crystal Johnson works with Courtney Alexander-Smith - Assistant Registrar, Paul Haber - Visiting Professor Management Information Systems & Software Development, and Tony Mauceri - Division Chair and Assistant Professor, Management & HR. Crystal Johnson reports to J. Michael Pressimone, College President.
