David Vlajic

David Vlajic, MBA, PMP, currently serves as the Manager of Maintenance Excellence at NOVA Chemicals, leading the corporate Maintenance Center of Excellence and establishing standards for implementation across manufacturing sites. Prior to this role, David spent 15 years at Syncrude Canada Ltd., holding various positions that focused on reliability improvement, turnaround planning, maintenance budgeting, and project management within the hydroprocessing area. David is also an adjunct faculty instructor in Project Management at the University of Calgary. Academically, David holds an MBA from Athabasca University, a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Business Administration, and a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute, complemented by a background as a Certified Engineering Technologist.
