Alex van der Valk

Alex van der Valk is a skilled research and teaching professional with extensive experience in the field of psychology. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at Nova Scotia Health Authority, Alex contributes to geriatric medicine research by utilizing population-based databases. In addition to this role, Alex works as a Manuscript Editor for Universität Witten/Herdecke, having edited over 75 manuscripts for the German Paediatric Pain Clinic. Previous experience includes a Graduate Teaching Assistant position at the University of Waterloo, supporting courses in psychology, and various roles at Saint Mary's University, including Communications Assistant and Survey Administrator & Analyst. Alex holds a Master of Arts in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology from Saint Mary's University.
