Shelley Walker

Shelley Walker is an accomplished Human Resource professional with extensive experience in the public sector. Since June 2014, Shelley has served as a Human Resource Business Partner and HR Manager at Nova Scotia Health Authority, focusing on day-to-day HR functions, recruitment, retention, and labour relations. Prior experience includes roles such as Corporate Payroll Technician with the Government of Nova Scotia, where Shelley managed payroll for approximately 700 employees, and HR Administrator for the Halifax Regional School Board, overseeing sick leave and disability claims. Additionally, Shelley has held positions involving HR management and database specialization, contributing to various HR initiatives throughout a career that began in 1986. Educational credentials include a BA in Psychology/Sociology from Mount Saint Vincent University and certifications in Human Resource Management and Criminology from Saint Mary’s University.
