Vassil Spasov

Vassil Spasov has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Vassil currently holds the position of Director of Product Development at Nova Ltd., beginning in October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at KLA-Tencor for 11 years, starting in November 2011, where they served as Systems Manager. In this role, they were responsible for system design and improvements of various e-beam tools and successfully resolved customer escalations for top semiconductor companies. Before joining KLA-Tencor, Vassil worked at Pacific Biosciences as a Staff System Engineer from November 2010 to November 2011. Vassil initially started their career at KLA-Tencor in March 2000 as a systems engineer and held this position for a decade until November 2010. Prior to their industry career, Vassil worked as a physicist at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences from 1991 to 1994.

Vassil Spasov completed their education with a M.Sc. in physics and lasers from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in 1991. Vassil then pursued a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics at the University of Nevada, Reno from 1994 to 1999. Following that, they engaged in a postdoctoral program in Chemical Physics at the University of California, Berkeley from 1999 to 2000.
