Ankur A. Patel

Ankur A. Patel is a board-certified Interventional Pain Physician currently providing care at Novant Health in Thomasville and Lexington, North Carolina since August 2023. With extensive experience in pain medicine, Patel has held multiple leadership roles within the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS) since February 2020, including Co-Chair and Vice Chair of the Residents and Fellows Section and Chief Technology Officer. Patel completed several Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowships at prestigious institutions, including Weill Cornell Medicine and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, while also training as a Resident Physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Prior experience includes an Internal Medicine residency at Saint Agnes Hospital and roles as a Medical Assistant and Research Associate early in the career. Patel holds a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland and has pursued advanced medical education at institutions such as the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
