Principal Scientist/group Lead at Novartis

Catriona Paape is a Principal Scientist and Group Lead at Novartis since October 2020, bringing extensive expertise in immunology and research methodologies. Prior experience includes post-doctoral research at the University of Glasgow focusing on immune cell movement in rheumatoid arthritis, as well as a role at the University of York investigating Schistosomiasis. Catriona has also contributed as a freelance medical writer at Aspire Scientific Ltd and completed a PhD in Immunology at the University of Edinburgh, where research centered on multiple sclerosis. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Durham University and an MRes in the Molecular Basis of Disease at the University of Edinburgh. Early research experience includes an industrial placement at Merck, exploring Alzheimer's disease and schizophrenia.
