Tim Somerville is a seasoned scientist specializing in oncology target discovery and validation. Currently serving as Senior Principal Scientist at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Tim Somerville has contributed significantly to the oncology portfolio, proposing novel targets in hematologic and solid tumors, and leading validation projects focused on target biology and drug discovery pathways. Previously, Tim Somerville was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, identifying key transcription factors in pancreatic cancer, and conducted graduate research at Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute, where Tim Somerville co-validated important transcription factor genes in acute leukemias.
