Alberto Gerardo

Alberto Gerardo is an experienced maintenance manager specializing in utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) power plants, currently serving at NovaSource Power Services since January 2021. With a long tenure at First Solar starting in March 2013 as a Field Technician, Alberto is responsible for the maintenance and operation of PV systems, utilizing SCADA for monitoring, as well as handling commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of AC and DC solar installations. Prior experience includes working as an Electrical Instrumentation & Control Technician at Ormat from January 2007 to April 2013, where Alberto focused on preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, and as an I&E Technician at Cal Energy, managing industrial instrumentation. Alberto holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Energy Generation and Thermodynamics from Universidad Autonoma De Baja California, earned between 1995 and 1999.
