Kenneth Benson

Kenneth Benson has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Kenneth has held executive positions in various companies, including Novelis, Equifax, S1 Corporation, Johnson Controls, McDonald's Corporation, Kraft Foods, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Andersen Consulting.

In their most recent role at Novelis as the Director of Global IT Hosting, they led the Transition and Transformation of IT Infrastructure, ensuring highly available operations for all Hosting/Data Center Operations worldwide. Kenneth also managed a $60M outsourcing engagement, implemented IT Service Management processes, and focused on continuous improvement.

Before that, as an Independent Consultant and Acting Director of Infrastructure & Operations at KYS Communications, they negotiated and delivered start-up operations to support the communications/public relations firm. Kenneth created a Service Management Strategic and Tactical Roadmap and achieved steady-state operations within six months.

As the Vice President of Technology at Equifax, Kenneth implemented an IT Service Management program using ITIL as the framework methodology, delivering a tiered service model across 17 global data center locations.

During their tenure at S1 Corporation as the Vice President of Managed Hosting Services, they successfully led Managed Services Hosting and Customer Support for data center facilities supporting 400 Financial Institutions and 2.2 million end-users.

Kenneth also served as the Director of Global Information Technology at Johnson Controls, where they managed a significant operating and capital budget and led the delivery of customer and internal business systems solutions.

Additionally, they provided senior leadership at McDonald's Corporation as the Director of IT Restaurant Development, delivering cost reductions and technology vision in the restaurant development business.

Earlier in their career, Kenneth held roles at Kraft Foods, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Andersen Consulting, demonstrating their expertise in IT application, infrastructure, and strategic planning.

Overall, Kenneth Benson has a wealth of experience in IT leadership, strategic planning, operations, and service management across various industries.

Kenneth Benson obtained an MBA in Strategic Marketing/Economics from DePaul University between 1984 and 1987. Kenneth also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University. In addition, Kenneth has obtained various certifications, including The High Performing BRM Designation from Barkley Consulting Group in August 2023.
