Sophia Heyde, PhD, currently serves as a Board Observer at AGNEXT and has held the position of Senior Associate in Planetary Health Investments at Novo Holdings since 2022, where responsibilities include growth to late-stage biotech investments and portfolio management focused on sustainability. Prior experience includes serving as Scientific Project Manager at Again, where strain development efforts were led, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability, specializing in business case development and life science commercialization. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Biotechnology from the Technical University of Denmark and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Technische Universität Darmstadt, complemented by various research roles in yeast genetics, metabolic engineering, and enzyme development at institutions such as Novozymes and UC Berkeley.
