Karin Hultman

Karin Hultman currently serves as Senior Scientific Lead Innovation at the Novo Nordisk Foundation since April 2019, having previously held roles as Senior Scientific Manager Innovation and Scientific Manager Innovation within the same organization. Prior experience includes being a Senior Scientist at Novo Nordisk from April 2015 to April 2019 and an Associate Researcher at Lund University from 2013 to April 2015. Karin Hultman also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Rockefeller University from 2011 to 2013 and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and PhD student at the University of Gothenburg between 2006 and 2011. Educational qualifications consist of a PhD in Neurobiology from the University of Gothenburg and an MSc in Medicinsk Biologi from Linköping University. The doctoral thesis focused on genetic risk factors in ischaemic stroke, emphasizing the regulation of the serine protease t-PA and its inhibitor PAI-1 in the brain.
