Berit Svendsen

Berit Svendsen is a Senior Scientist at Novo Nordisk since September 2020, with a strong background in research and academic roles. Prior to this position, Berit served as a researcher at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen in 2019 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University from 2017 to 2019. Berit also held postdoctoral fellow and PhD student positions at the University of Copenhagen from 2010 to 2016, focusing on perfusion models to study paracrine and secretory mechanisms for gut and pancreatic hormones. Earlier experience includes a brief role as a research scientist at Novo Nordisk A/S in 2009 and a master student position at Novo Nordisk from February 2008 to 2009, where the master thesis project involved researching insulin-like growth factor 1 production in rats. Educational qualifications include a PhD from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen and a Master of Science in Biomedicine from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark.
