Susan Carpenter has over 30 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on labor relations and employee management. Susan started their career as an Office Manager at USW Local 1967, where they assisted with negotiations and maintained payroll. Susan then worked as a Director of Human Resources at SMART Papers Holdings LLC and NewPage Corporation, where they administered collective bargaining agreements and resolved union issues. Susan later became an HR Manager at Novolex, overseeing labor relations and hiring. Susan then transitioned to the role of Director of Human Resources at Duro Operations, where they were responsible for HR leadership at multiple bag manufacturing plants. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director of Human Resources at Novolex, specializing in food and delivery.

Susan Carpenter completed their education in Business Management at Kennedy Western University in 2003. Prior to that, they attended Pacific Lutheran University from 1979 to 1980. Susan also pursued Business studies at Central Texas College, Europe, and the University of Maryland, Europe, without specifying the years of attendance or obtaining a degree. In terms of additional certifications, Susan obtained a PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification from SHRM in April 2008 and a Paralegal Certificate in 2002.
