Anna Chomiak

Anna Chomiak has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Anna currently works as an Application Engineer at novoMOF AG, where they support customers in the industrial engineering sector with the optimal use of advanced MOF adsorbents. Their responsibilities include selecting and procuring process tools and machinery, setting up processes for adsorbent production, and conducting lab application testing.

Prior to their current role, Anna worked at Omya as an Application Manager in Technical Services, Water and Energy. Anna focused on developing and optimizing additives for water and wastewater treatment as well as the energy supply markets. Anna conducted field visits, troubleshooting, and customer trials for these additives.

Before Omya, Anna worked at Eawag ETHZ as a Dr Sc ETHZ Process Engineering. Anna was involved in the development of GDM, a zero energy, zero chemicals low pressure ultrafiltration system for drinking water purposes. This system is currently being used in communities in developing countries.

Anna also has experience as a Senior Engineer technician at Bwa Water Additives and as an Intern at Wessex Water.

Anna Chomiak pursued their education in the field of engineering, specifically environmental engineering and process engineering. Anna began their academic journey at the Silesian University of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Environmental Biotechnology in 2007. Following this, in 2007, Anna enrolled at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, specializing in Environmental Engineering with a focus on Architecture and Built Environment. Anna completed their studies at KTH in the same year, earning another MSc degree. Later on, Anna attended ETH Zürich, where they dedicated herself to Process Engineering. During their time at ETH Zürich, they pursued a doctoral degree, which they successfully completed in 2015.
