Silvia Peri is a PhD candidate at Novonesis since September 2024, following a productive tenure as a research scientist and research assistant at Biosyntia from September 2021 to September 2024. Silvia’s professional journey began with a student internship at Chr. Hansen from September 2020 to May 2021, where experimental work was conducted for a master's thesis on bacterial and fungal inhibition mechanisms in Bacillus species. Prior experience includes a student internship at Università degli Studi di Padova, focusing on the physiological and molecular characterization of rice varieties under salt stress for a bachelor's thesis. Silvia holds a master's degree in Sustainable Biotechnology from Aalborg University and a bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Padova, acquiring skills in hydroponic systems, plant stress measurement, RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, and real-time PCR.
