Mads Torry-Smith

Mads Torry-Smith has a diverse range of work experience in the field of research and development, primarily in the biofuels and biorefining industries. Mads has held various leadership positions at Novozymes, a leading biotechnology company. Mads'smost recent role was as the Head of Digitalization for Agriculture & Industrial Biosolutions R&D, where they were responsible for leading the digital transformation of innovation flows within agriculture and industrial biosolutions. Prior to that, they served as the Digital Officer for Biorefining & Feed Application R&D, Director of Yeast & Digitalization, and Director of Bioenergy Technology Development, among other positions. Mads also has teaching experience as an Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Denmark.

Mads Torry-Smith attended the Technical University of Denmark from 1992 to 1998, where they obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering. Mads further pursued their education at the same institution, earning a PHD in Biotechnology (Biomass to Ethanol) from 1999 to 2002.
