Deana Hancock has diverse work experience in the field of animal research and innovation. Deana started their career at Elanco in 2007 and held various roles, including Director of Technology Acquisitions, Director of Enzyme R&D, and Research Advisor for Bioproducts Innovation. In 2018, they joined Novus International, Inc. as an Associate Director and later became the Director of Animal Research.
Deana Hancock holds a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, which they obtained from 1979 to 1983. Deana went on to pursue a Master's degree in Ruminant Nutrition from the same university, which they completed from 1983 to 1986. Deana furthered their education at Texas Tech University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Ruminant Nutrition, Growth Biology, and Medical Biochemistry from 1986 to 1989.
