Sal Romito has over three decades of work experience in various roles in the manufacturing industry. Sal started their career as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Pisa in Italy. From there, they worked at Dow Chemical where they held multiple manufacturing roles in Italy, including Production Engineer, Production Leader, and Unit Supervisor. Sal also served as the Site Leader and Plant Manager in Montreal, Canada, and Somerset, New Jersey, where they were responsible for integrating acquired sites into Dow Chemical. Romito then became the Responsible Care Leader for EH&S in Texas City, TX, and later the Production Director for polyol production facilities in Freeport, Texas. In their most recent role, Romito is the Senior Director of Manufacturing for Novus International, overseeing four manufacturing units of the Methionine Business Unit in multiple locations across Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Overall, Romito has extensive experience in plant management, operations leadership, and implementing business strategies.
Sal Romito has studied Chemical Engineering at the Università di Pisa. In addition, they have pursued a master's degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Pisa - Pisa, Italy.
